Having been catastrophically ill in JANUARY 1980, I had seen Harry Chapin approx. eight times up to the last time at the Front Row Theatre, in December of 1980.
I had just recovered from Viral Encephalitis, a disease that erased my memory, and left me with life long disabilities. Seeing Harry on Dec.6, 1980, I had no clue that I, and the world was about to lose him.
If I could name one constant and one motivator to be a better person, it would be Harry, as his insight, dedication to others and family helped me to be a better person and to recognize that having survived my illness, I owed something back.
I shall always strive to live up to the standards he set. I will always love and miss him…….Donald.
