I was a very young teenager when i discovered Harry Chapin. I heard Sequel on our local radio and instantly I was transfixed and amused by the song and set about finding my music by this man.
I was a fat troubled teenager and Harry made me feel as though life was still worth the effort.
I am a mother of 5 now in my 37th year and I still adore Harry. I recently found the net and all the links to Harry have stunned me as he was always a little known artist over here (indeed when he died I found out by a two line note at the bottom of a page in our newspaper).
I have named my kids Jason, Jamie and Joey I didn’t quite manage 5 Js but I tried and now tangled up puppet makes sense and I understand so much more of his messages his teachings will live inside me always!!
