MY best friend Tom saw Harry Chapin in Davenport, Iowa at Palmer College. He was awed by him, he practically worshipped Harry.
I had never of Harry since it was before my time, I am only 30. Last year I lost my best friend Tom, he was like my brother and I took it very hard. To my surprise he left me his collection of music.
Harry’s words to this day remind me of all the times my friend and I would hang out, having a great time, drinking beer, and always him singing along to Harry. Us driving late at night across the country with nothing but the music and our conversation keeping us company.
I know now why Tom liked Harry so much, his stories touch your senses. Thank you Harry for all the good times you gave Tom and thank you Tom for being a great and unforgettable friend and all those great times.
