I fell in love with Harry Chapin’s music when I was quite young. I learned to play the guitar at age 14 and would always try and play Harry’s songs WOLD, Mr.Tanner, A Better Place to Be. Few if any of my friends listened to his music until they were quite a bit older, but they always seemed to touch me somehow.

In college, I had a chance to see Harry live at Hamilton Place (Canada) where I was going to school. Of course I had this huge exam the next day, in some subject that I don’t even remember now, so I didn’t go. I never got the chance to see Harry in person again, though apparently this concert is on tape now and available through the Chapin foundation.

Harry we love you and your music still.

To those reading this, live life to the fullest – there will always be exams in our lives that seem important, but I learned that there are far more important things in life.
