The taxi stand is dark and deserted,
No one waits for the driver to appear.

His memories remain so vivid in our minds,
Not blocked or diminished by the hands of time.

With a darkened stage a guitar stands alone,
The pic is idle, the strings do not hum.

The music and memories live on in our minds,
Like the taste of fine wine we’ve enjoyed through our lives.

When the stage was busy, the shows would start,
Our Songman would sing with words from his heart.

Though many taxi journeys have come and gone,
The years have passed and it seems so long,
Our thoughts are still with him wherever he may be,
The Songman named Harry is missed, can’t you see?

Happy Birthday Harry…..from Ed.
