Harry may not have been the greatest singer of all time, yet his music had great meaning. A song that particularly comes to mind is “Mr. Tanner.” It’s a story of a man who is rejected by critics when he try‘s out for a record label. In a way, this song reflects Harry’s frustration with the ill-received reviews of his albums by his critics. Yet as the song says:
“He did not know how well he sang; It just made him whole.”
I am a songwriter and am currently learning to play acoustic guitar. I hope to be able to make a living out of being a musician. Mayby I can release a couple of albums on an indie label.
Harry was a true Mr. Tanner. His voice may have not always had a pretty tune, but that only made his songs more real and meaningful.
